The Government introduced Universal Infant Free School Meal’s in September 2014 for Foundation Stage and KS1. This automatically entitles them to a free school meal. You do not need to apply for this when your child starts school.
Children can either choose to pay for a school meal or bring in their own packed lunch. If you would like your child to have a school meal, please either pay online via SchoolComms or via cheque/cash through the school office.
The online payment facility is also available on the quick links at the site of this website. You will need your username and password from your activation letter to access the SchoolComms site. If you encounter any problems please contact the school office who will be more than happy to help.
If you believe that your child may be entitled to free school meals due to your family circumstances then please apply online here. Alternatively, you may call the Education Helpline on 0345 155 1019. Further information can be obtained on the Sandwell Council website here.
If you qualify, not only will you receive free school meals but it also qualifies you for additional funding via ‘Pupil Premium’ which helps to support your child’s education. Please see the ‘Pupil Premium’ page for more details.
