Discover Your Child’s Future at Lightwoods Primary Academy – Book a Tour Today

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family will make, and at Lightwoods Primary Academy, we are here to make that journey as supportive and welcoming as possible.

That’s why we are excited to welcome families seeking an exceptional education for their children to book a tour and experience first-hand what sets our school apart and what makes it such a fantastic place to learn.

At Lightwoods, we believe that children learn best when they feel safe, valued and inspired. Our nurturing environment allows pupils to build confidence, develop their natural strengths and talents, and thrive both in and beyond the classroom.

Our curriculum is creative and ambitious, designed around exciting themes that connect subjects in meaningful ways. This approach sparks curiosity, encourages children to ask questions, and helps them discover a genuine love of learning. By the time they leave us for secondary school, our pupils leave us feeling confident, resilient and well-prepared for the next stage of their education.

In 2024, Ofsted rated our school good with outstanding features in behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management – a recognition of our strong values, high standards and the dedication of our staff and pupils.

During their visit, families will have the opportunity to explore our school’s classrooms and facilities, speak with staff and pupils about life at Lightwoods Primary Academy, and meet the Associate Principal.

Associate Principal, John Ashton, said: “At Lightwoods, our focus is on helping every child flourish and providing them with the experiences and opportunities to reach their full potential. By combining high quality teaching with a supportive, caring environment, pupils not only achieve their best academically but also grow in confidence, curiosity and resilience. It’s a place where children are inspired to enjoy learning and take pride in their achievements.

“This is a fantastic time to join our school, and we look forward to meeting families looking to join us in September 2026.”

Applications for reception places are now open for residents in Sandwell, Birmingham and Dudley. Parents should apply for their place via their local authority. The deadline for reception applications is Thursday 15 January 2026.
